Support Maine Maritime Museum with the purchase of this gorgeous Mary E half hull model! Beautifully handmade by a volunteer at the museum's Boatshop from a set of lines developed during the 2017-2018 restoration, this scale model of the museum's flagship historic vessel will look perfect above a mantle or in an office.
Originally built in 1906 by Thomas Hagan on the banks of the Kennebec River, Mary E sailed as a fishing vessel, a windjammer, and an excursion vessel throughout its life. After the museum's extensive onsite restoration thousands of visitors have experienced Maine's maritime heritage through programming aboard Mary E.
The model follows a 1/2" = 1' scale. Made from white pine with mahogany trim. Mounted on a 28.5" x 9" red oak board.
